About Murphy's Billiards
Family friendly pool hall & event center — a room built for the person who has never held a cue and for the player chasing a title, on the same night, at the next table.
A pool hall first, an event center second
Murphy's Billiards is an open room in Bastrop with tables, boards, cards and a sound system — the whole floor visible from the door, because the point of a pool hall is that you can see a game you want to join.
We run BCA league play through the season, tournaments with real brackets and posted payouts, and lessons for every level. The equipment counter sells and services cues, so the stick you learn on can be the stick you keep. When the tables are quiet the room hires out for parties, fundraisers and corporate nights.
The house rules are short and they are the ones the owner set: BYOB — bring your own beverages, No smoking or vaping, family friendly, and every age and skill level welcome. Nobody gets hustled at the door.
